MENTAL WEALTH

The first event in the Taboo Ventures series is Mental Wealth; an exploration of modern mental health treatments, psychedelic medicines, and digital therapy tools.

Across two panels, Irish investors and entrepreneurs will discuss the technology and science fuelling this sector, the funding landscape and flow of investment, and the challenges working in a heavily regulated area rife with consumer stigma.

The topic for our first panel covers ‘Clinical psychedelics: Drug development, talking therapy and commercialisation’, and features speakers from Clerkenwell Health (Europe’s first commercial clinical research organisation for psychedelics), ATAI Life Sciences (the Christian Angermayer founded NASDAQ-listed drug developer), and PharmAla Biotech (Canadian biotech manufacturing MDMA for global trials) and Trinity College Dublin (who run trials in Tallaght Hospital for psychedelic international drug developers).

The second panel ‘Modern mental health: Mental health online, in the workplace, and on a retreat’ features speakers from Frankie Health (Irish tech startup that exited to mental health giant Unmind) and Anna Clifford (a rising star of the Irish comedy scene and RTE host).
